A Moment in Hallgrímskirkja

Me in Hallgrímskirkja.

Me in Hallgrímskirkja.

A couple weeks ago, I met an American adventurer at the English church service I attend here in Reykjavik (2pm on Sundays, for anyone interested). Ryan had been hoping to work on a farm in Iceland for a few months, but those plans had fallen through. He had just arrived in Reykjavik from the countryside, and hadn’t gotten much of an opportunity to explore the city. I showed him around some of my favorite parts of city center, and got to break out all the insider info I’ve picked up in the last few months. Ryan explained that he takes “story portraits” of people he meets while traveling: a picture and a paragraph or so about them and where he met them. He took this great picture of me in Hallgrímskirkja. You can read/see more of his adventures here.
