About a 40 minute drive from Ísafjörður, Þingeyri is an adorable Westfjords town with a booming population of 260. My mom and I took a day trip there to go horse riding at the tiny farm (14 horses) run by a young couple (Belgian man and Danish woman) who also renovated an old general store (picture above) into a charming cafe. They also rent out mountain bikes, and together comprise the entire tourist industry in this beautiful little village tucked away in the fjords. You can read more about the owners and our horse ride around the fjord here.
