ÍS: On the Way to Patreksfjörður

000023abovedynSites seen on the drive from Ísafjörður to Patreksfjörður. Our end goal was the cliffs at Látrabjarg (known for its large puffin population….pictures to come). We picked up a hitchhiking couple near Þingeyri, and made the short detour to Patreksfjörður to take them all the way to their destination. Side note: If you are driving your way around Iceland and have extra seats, please always consider picking up hitchhikers. When I was out, I got stuck in a remote area and watched a dozen cars with space drive by without stopping. Everyone is Iceland is nice, and you may meet someone interesting, so pick up hitch-hikers!
