ÍS: Driving around Skagafjörður

Skagafjörður, Iceland Some absolutely breathtaking sights seen on a sunny installment of my 3 week trip around Iceland’s Ring Road. These are from the general areas around Skagafjörður, in the north of the country (on our way from the Westfjords to Akureyri. The purple flowers are lupine, which is actually an invasive species in Iceland.

  1. These are beautiful images! I am actually coming out to Iceland in November for 2 weeks on a artist residency staying in Fjótstunga, hoping to see more of the surrounding areas as well though!! 🙂
